Esskay Cars is based at 87 Bell Street in Reigate, so Heathrow to Reigate is one of the journeys we know best. A saloon costs from £73 one way, fixed for the whole car, and the same price applies from Reigate to Heathrow. Your driver lives and works locally. They know the one-way system around the town centre, the narrow roads up on Reigate Hill and the quickest way through South Park and Woodhatch, and they will take you right to your door.
There is no direct train from Reigate to Heathrow. By rail, you would change at Redhill or Gatwick and again further on, or catch a coach from Gatwick, which is a long way round with luggage. For most Reigate households, a direct car is the simplest option, especially for early flights or with children and suitcases.

Journey time and route
Reigate is about 32 miles from Heathrow. The usual route is the M25 between Junction 8 at Reigate Hill and Junction 14 or 15 for the airport, with a short run down Reigate Hill or along the A217 into town.
| When you travel | Typical journey time |
|---|---|
| Before 6am or late evening | 35 to 40 minutes |
| Weekday off-peak | 40 to 50 minutes |
| Weekday morning or evening peak | 55 to 75 minutes |
| Friday afternoon or holiday weekends | Up to 90 minutes |
The stretch of M25 between Junction 9 at Leatherhead and Junction 12 at the M3 is the usual bottleneck. If it is jammed, drivers can come off at Junction 9 and use the A24 and A217, or cut across via the A3 to Junction 10. Your fare stays the same whichever route they take. On the way home, the same applies in reverse, and the driver will choose the fastest way back into Reigate on the day.
When to leave Reigate for your flight

Flying out from Heathrow
On the way to the airport, we collect you at the time you choose and drop you at the departures kerb for your terminal. Heathrow’s drop-off charge is already in the fare. If you are travelling as a group, a people carrier from Reigate is £98 for up to six people. That is about £17 each.
Coming home to Reigate
For the return trip, add your flight number when you book. We follow your flight on the day. The driver is waiting in the arrivals hall with your name when you come through, and takes you back down the M25 to your front door. If the flight is delayed, the pickup moves with it at no extra cost. You can read more in our meet and greet guide.
Why use a local Reigate firm?
With a local firm, the driver is not coming from the other side of London. They know the area, and if anything changes, you are dealing with people a few minutes away rather than a national call centre. We also run the shorter trips that matter to Reigate residents, including Gatwick, which is only around 20 minutes away. See our Reigate to Gatwick taxi page for those fares.
School holidays and family trips
The start of the school holidays is the busiest time for Heathrow trips from Reigate, and early-morning flights fill up quickly. It is worth booking your car as soon as your flights are confirmed. For families with young children, an estate or people carrier gives room for car seats, a pushchair and the extra bags that family holidays tend to involve. If you bring your own child seats, the driver will help fit them.
Business travel from Reigate
Reigate has a good number of company offices and professional firms, and many local residents commute or travel for work. For business trips, the executive saloon gives you a quiet, comfortable car to and from Heathrow at £98. Regular travellers can book trips in advance and ask for the same driver where possible.
Late-night arrivals
Long-haul flights often land at Heathrow very early in the morning, and some short-haul flights arrive close to midnight. Public transport back to Reigate is limited at those times. A pre-booked car means a driver is waiting in arrivals whatever time you land, and the fare is the same at night as during the day.
Visitors staying in Reigate
If you are visiting Reigate for a wedding, a family event or business, we can collect you at Heathrow and take you straight to your hotel. That might be one of the hotels on Reigate Hill, a country house hotel nearby, or a relative’s home. Give us the hotel or street name when you book. When it is time to leave, we will collect you from reception for the trip back to the airport.

Golf clubs, skis, pushchairs or a wheelchair? Mention them when you book, and we will make sure there is room.
Taxi, train or driving yourself?
Parking at Heathrow for a week usually costs more than two taxi fares from Reigate. Being dropped off by a friend means four journeys for them, plus the drop-off and short stay charges. There is also no direct public transport. For most people in Reigate, a fixed-fare taxi each way is the simplest and often the cheapest choice.
