A taxi from Heathrow to Redhill with Esskay Cars costs from £72 in a saloon. The fare is fixed for the whole car and covers the Heathrow parking or drop-off charge. We are a local firm based just over a mile away on Bell Street in Reigate, so our drivers know Redhill well. That includes the town centre and station area, the estates around Earlswood and Merstham, and the lanes out towards Nutfield and Bletchingley. They drop you at your door, not at the station.

Redhill has fast trains to London and Gatwick but no direct link to Heathrow. Getting there by public transport means going into London and back out on the Elizabeth or Piccadilly line, or changing at Reading or Gatwick. With luggage, that is a two-hour trip with at least two changes. A direct car does it in under an hour on most days.

Distance and journey time

Redhill is about 35 miles from Heathrow. There are two main routes, and the driver chooses depending on traffic. One is the M25 to Junction 8 at Reigate Hill, then through Reigate on the A25. The other is the M25 to Junction 7 at Merstham, then the A23 south into Redhill. The second is often quicker for homes in north Redhill, Merstham and the Battlebridge area.

Parking at Heathrow or a taxi?

A week in a Heathrow car park can easily cost more than two taxi fares from Redhill, and you still have to drive the M25 both ways and get the bus from the car park to the terminal. Being dropped off by a friend avoids the parking, but it means four trips for them, plus the airport drop-off charge and short stay parking on the way back. A fixed fare each way, with the airport charges included, is usually the simplest way to do it.

Choosing your vehicle

A saloon takes three passengers with three large cases. An estate takes four people and four cases. For five or six people, book a people carrier at £97. For eight, book the 8-seater minivan at £114. For business trips, the executive saloon is £97. If you have a wheelchair, golf bags or extra luggage, let us know when you book.

Hospital and medical staff

East Surrey Hospital is on the southern edge of Redhill, and many doctors and nurses who work there travel internationally. If you are coming off a night shift and heading straight to Heathrow, we can collect you from the hospital. Give us the entrance you will be at when you book.

Business travellers

Redhill is home to a number of regional offices and businesses around the town centre and the Holmethorpe estate, and plenty of residents travel for work. If you fly regularly, booking a fixed-fare car to Heathrow means you know the cost and the timing every time. The executive saloon gives you a quiet space to work on the way. We are happy to take advance bookings for regular trips, and we will try to send the same driver.

Families and school holidays

School holiday weekends are the busiest days at Heathrow, and the M25 is often slower too. If you are flying with children, add 15 to 20 minutes to the times above. Tell us about car seats, pushchairs and how many cases you have, so we can send the right vehicle. A people carrier gives enough room for a family of five or six and all their luggage. Many families book the return journey at the same time, so the car is waiting when they land, tired, at the end of the holiday.

Late-night and early-morning arrivals

Many long-haul flights from Asia, Africa and the Middle East land at Heathrow between 5am and 7am, and some European flights arrive after 11pm. At those times, trains from London to Redhill are limited, and the taxi rank at Heathrow can have long queues. A pre-booked car means a driver is already waiting for you in arrivals. The fare is the same at any hour.

Visitors to Redhill

If you are visiting friends or family in Redhill, or coming for a job at one of the local employers, we can take you straight from the airport to the address you are staying at. Give us the full address, including the postcode, when you book. If you are staying at a hotel nearby, the hotel name is enough.

Booking

Use the booking form at the top of this page to see your fixed price and book. You can also call 0207 8400 344 or WhatsApp 020 3355 8186. We take bookings for any time of day or night.
