Godstone’s position on the M25 makes London City and Stansted relatively good value. London City is reached through the Dartford side of the M25 or the A22 and A2, and Stansted by going round the eastern M25 to the M11.

Gatwick from Godstone
There are two ways to Gatwick, and the driver picks the faster one on the day. One is the M25 west to Junction 7 and down the M23. The other is the A22 south past Blindley Heath and across through Smallfield and Horley. South Godstone is a little closer to the airport than the village itself. A saloon is £44, fixed whichever way the driver goes, and the same to the North and South Terminals.
Heathrow from Godstone
Godstone is on Junction 6 of the M25, so Heathrow is a straight run west round the motorway to Junction 14 or 15. It usually takes 45 to 60 minutes, and longer on weekday mornings. A saloon is £76, and the return from Heathrow is the same. See our Heathrow airport taxi page for more.

Godstone is a pretty village, with a large green, historic inns and ponds, including the Bay Pond nature reserve. People also come from across the area to Godstone Farm and the local vineyards. If you are visiting by train, we can collect you from Oxted, Redhill or South Godstone station and bring you to the village, then take you back at the end of the day. Race days at Lingfield
Lingfield Park racecourse is about 15 minutes south of Godstone. On race days, parking and traffic around the course can be busy, so many racegoers prefer to be dropped off and collected. Tell us the race day and your return time, and we will give you a fixed price for both ways.
Commuters and station runs
Many Godstone residents commute to London from Oxted or Redhill. If you would rather not leave a car at the station all day, or need a lift on a day when the car is in use, we can run you to the station in the morning and collect you in the evening. Regular bookings can be set up by phone.
Early flights and late arrivals
With Gatwick only 20 to 25 minutes away, early-morning flights are easy from Godstone. Just book a pickup time and the driver will be outside. For a 6am departure with checked bags, a pickup around 3:30am to 3:45am is usually enough. Late arrivals are just as straightforward: the driver waits in arrivals however late you land, and the fare does not change at night.
Cruises from Southampton and Dover
For cruise holidays, a saloon from Godstone to the Southampton cruise terminals is £151, and to Dover it is £128. Cruise luggage usually needs more room, so an estate or people carrier is a good idea. We can collect you from the ship on your return too.
Coming home
