For groups too big for one car, Esskay Cars runs 12-seater and 16-seater minibuses to and from Heathrow. A 12-seater from central London costs £258 and a 16-seater £312, fixed for the whole vehicle. One minibus keeps the group together, carries the luggage in one place, and saves organising several taxis that arrive at different times. We move sports teams, school and university groups, tour parties, wedding guests and company teams.

Which size of minibus do I need?
Count people and suitcases. A 12-seater takes 12 passengers and around 10 large cases. A 16-seater takes 16 passengers and around 14 cases.
| Vehicle | Passengers | Large cases | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| 8-seater minivan | 8 | 8 | Small groups, families travelling together |
| Executive minivan (V-Class) | 6 | 6 | Small executive groups |
| 12-seater minibus | 12 | 10 | Teams, tour groups, wedding parties |
| 16-seater minibus | 16 | 14 | Larger groups, school and club trips |
Sports kit, golf bags and instrument cases take more space than a suitcase. If your group is carrying bulky items, tell us when you book, and we will confirm what fits. For groups of more than 16, we can send two vehicles that travel together.
How does a group pick-up at Heathrow work?
The driver meets the group leader in the arrivals hall with a name board, then walks everyone to the minibus.
Give us the flight number and the name of the group leader. Large groups often come through arrivals in stages, so the driver waits until everyone is together. When the whole group is in the hall, the driver leads you to the vehicle and loads the luggage. Let us know if the group arrives on more than one flight, and we will plan the pick-up around the last arrival.
Can a minibus collect from several addresses?
Yes. Add each stop to the booking, and the fixed price includes all of them.
A minibus picking up team members around a town or a few London postcodes is common for early departures. Plan the order so the last stop is closest to the airport. The booking form shows the new fixed price when you add stops.
Who uses minibus hire for Heathrow?
Sports clubs going to tournaments, school and university trips, wedding parties, tour operators, and companies moving staff to conferences.
For overseas visitors arriving as a group, a minibus means they can go straight from arrivals to a hotel or venue, together, without working out trains in a new country. For a stag or hen trip, it means one pick-up for everyone and nobody missing the flight because their taxi was late.
Can the minibus wait or do a return trip?
Yes. Book a return, and the driver will collect the group again when you fly home.
Add your return flight details when you book. The driver tracks the inbound flight and meets the group in arrivals in the same way.
How early should a group leave for Heathrow?
Allow more time than for a car. Plan to arrive three hours before a long-haul flight, plus extra time for a group check-in.
Group check-in can take longer, especially for teams with sports kit or tour groups with lots of luggage. From central London, leave about four hours before departure. For a group arriving from outside London, check the journey time in the booker and add a margin for traffic.
Is a minibus cheaper than several taxis?
Usually, yes. Two saloons from central London cost £146, and four cost £292. A 12-seater for the same journey costs £258.
Taking several cars also means several drivers arriving at different times, the risk of one car being late, and luggage spread across vehicles. A single minibus keeps everything in one place. For groups of five to eight, the 8-seater minivan at £117 is usually the best value.
Is a minibus better than the train or coach for a group?
For groups with luggage, yes. The minibus goes from your door to the terminal with no changes, and the group stays together.
Trains are quick, but moving 12 people with suitcases through London stations and onto the Heathrow Express or Elizabeth line is slow and stressful, and someone always gets separated. Scheduled coaches run to fixed times from fixed stops. A private minibus leaves when you want, from where you want.
Can we put sports equipment in the minibus?
Yes, within the space available. Tell us what you are bringing so we can confirm it fits.
Golf bags, cricket bags, hockey sticks and bike boxes all fit in a minibus, but they reduce the room left for suitcases. For a team with a lot of kit, we may suggest a larger vehicle or a second car for the equipment. It is easier to plan this before the day.
Do you run minibuses for corporate events?
Yes. Companies book minibuses for staff flying to conferences, and to bring visiting teams from Heathrow to offices and hotels.
A fixed price on every booking makes travel budgets easy to plan. The driver can meet guests with a company name board, so visitors know who to look for. For regular group travel, call us to discuss your dates.
Do you cover night and early morning group transfers?
Yes. We operate around the clock, and minibus fares stay the same at any hour.
Group flights often leave early in the morning. A 4am pick-up for a team or school trip is routine, and the driver arrives on time so the group can check in together.
Can the minibus take us from Heathrow to another airport or a cruise port?
Yes. We run group transfers from Heathrow to Gatwick, Stansted and Luton, and to Southampton and Dover for cruises.
Groups connecting between airports, or flying in to join a cruise, can book one vehicle for the whole connection. Enter both points in the booking form for a fixed price. For cruise groups, leave plenty of time for the drive to the port, which can be two hours or more from Heathrow.
What should the group leader tell us?
The number of passengers and cases, the flight numbers, the pick-up addresses and a mobile number for the day.
With these details, we can choose the right vehicle and plan the timings. If the group size changes after booking, let us know so we can adjust the vehicle.
